What an inspiring morning! Our Coalfields Grade 5 learners stepped into the future today at the South Mining state-of-the-art community library.

From digital learning hubs to quiet reading nooks, the students were in awe of how this space blends technology with the joy of books. A huge thank you to South Mining for investing in our children’s literacy and imagination!

Highlights of the day:
🔹 Interactive storytelling session
🔹 Exploring the e-resource centre
🔹 “My dream library” reflections from our young readers

Moments like these remind us that when communities and companies work together, every child’s world grows bigger.

📖💡 Keep reading, keep dreaming!

Learning outside the classroom! The grade 4 learners had an adventurous learning session about the Ndebele culture and had the feel and taste of their different cuisines at Lanyula Cultural Center at Lubangwe.

True education isn’t just about what’s in a textbook—it’s about roots, resilience, and raising the next generation with both knowledge and heart.

That’s why we invite you to Coalfields Culture Night Celebrations – an evening where the grit of our African history meets the glow of student potential.

What to expect:
- Student-led storytelling & oral histories
- Traditional songs reimagined by our learners
- Global fusion cuisine (because holistic education embraces the whole world, even at coalfields)

This isn’t just a school event. It’s a living lesson in identity, empathy, and excellence. Because a well-rounded education deserves a well-attended celebration.

From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed, supported, and part of something special. Thank you for hosting such a well-run event and giving our boys the opportunity to compete in an incredible environment.

And to our Coalfields boys; what a weekend of rugby!
Your passion, teamwork, and sportsmanship on the pitch were outstanding. You played with heart, represented our school with pride, and made us all proud. Well done on a wonderful performance throughout the festival!
